- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I recently got pulled over for speeding.. I was embarrassed for being forgetful of how fast I was going. Prior to getting pulled over my husband and I made plans to go to the Washington County fair. We weren't able to enter the fair grounds because we didn't have $3 cash. We decided that it wasn't worth going to get cash and going all the way back to the fair. We headed home, frustrated at the situation. On Hurricane state road is where I got pulled over. The Police Officer clocked me in going 15 over the speed limit. I could hardly speak to the officer due to my tears so my husband explained our situation to him, and how sorry we were for not being focused on our speed. The officer took my license and did his thing. He returned to our car with my license, and with my license was a 5 dollar bill. I was speechless. The officer said, "take this and go have fun at the fair, seriously or I'm going to start crying." I'll never forget this experience. The compassion he had towards us was touching.
